I’ve got 6 simple yet powerful steps that will make a MASSIVE difference if applied consistently. Remember consistency is key!
1. Start with an idea–get clear on what you want!
Ask yourself what areas of your life you are looking to transform. Then take on an area of your life and break it down into goals. For example, in the area of health, maybe you want to get fit, eat healthier, and feel better. Great! Now get specific! (i.e. I want to lose 10 lbs, I want to gain lean muscle, I want to eat more fruits and veggies, I want to start each day with a green smoothie, I want to have more energy so I can play with my kids, etc). What do you want? Don’t set limits on it. Write down EXACTLY what you want.
2. Find a mentor/mentors who have what you desire!
This could be an author, public speaker, YouTuber, or people you follow from afar. It could even be someone you interact with like a coach, trainer, teacher, etc. Surround yourself with their inspiration and guidance. The guidance doesn’t mean you have to pay someone for services. You could follow a podcast, blog, or free resources of people who inspire you and have achieved what you seek.
3. Go all in!
This means invest in the outcome if you need to (courses, books, audios, services, etc). Hold yourself accountable daily working towards it and don’t quit at the first sign of resistance or a problem.
4. Set yourself up for success!
Create a game plan that breaks bigger goals into smaller actionable steps. Remember that saying, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a small step”.
5. As Nike says, “Just do it!”
You will not always feel well, motivated, and inspired You’ve got to keep pushing and stay focused on the goal even when the feelings fade. Fight your own inner resistance, by keeping your schedule/game plan, and executing it.
6. Learn to love the process, not just the outcome!
You will not like everything you do and that’s okay. Find a way to enjoy the process in some way or execute tasks in a way that is more pleasant. When I have to do tasks for hours on my computer, I play enjoyable music and have my favorite latte to sip or I got an inspiring cafe or coworking space to change up the environment. Set yourself up for success.
